How the website works
The website presents VITAE’s activities and projects. It does not require an account or use its own analytics, behavioural advertising or visitor profiling tools. Fonts, gallery photographs and videos are served by the website’s hosting service, without external video players or embedded font services. VITAE does not sell visitors’ personal data.
Enquiries and e-mail contact
The contact form prepares an e-mail draft in your browser: it does not send the fields to a website server. The link for opening the e-mail passes the draft to the e-mail application or service you choose. VITAE receives the message only if you send it from that application. Your e-mail service’s own notice applies to its processing.
When you write to us, we process the information you provide, such as your name, e-mail address, any company or professional role, selected interest and message. Contacting us is optional; without the details needed to understand and answer an enquiry, we may be unable to handle it.
Purposes and legal bases
We handle enquiries and professional communications on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us and conducting VITAE’s business (Article 6(1)(f), GDPR). This includes communications with people acting on behalf of a company.
Where your request concerns pre-contractual steps you ask us to take or a contract to which you are a party, Article 6(1)(b) applies. Any applicable legal obligations are covered by Article 6(1)(c). Website operation and security rely on the legitimate interest in providing and protecting the service (point (f)). Loading Google Maps relies on your consent choice (point (a)), as described below.
Google Maps and external links
Google Maps is optional and stays blocked until you activate it using the dedicated button after reading the notice. Activation connects your browser to Google, which may receive your IP address and other technical data and use cookies or identifiers under its own notices. You can use the rest of the website and read VITAE’s address without loading the map.
You can withdraw your choice through Privacy preferences in the footer: the map is removed and further loading from this website is blocked. Withdrawal does not automatically delete cookies on Google domains or data Google has already received. See Google’s notices for information and controls relating to that data.
Links to Instagram, LinkedIn and other websites open external services only when you select them. The respective platforms’ notices explain their subsequent processing.
Recipients and processing locations
Data may be processed by people authorised by VITAE and providers needed for hosting, e-mail and technical support. Where they process data on VITAE’s behalf, they operate under the arrangements required by applicable law. Data may be disclosed to authorities or other recipients where required by law.
OVHcloud provides the hosting service. Activating Google Maps leads to processing by Google; Google generally identifies Google Ireland Limited as the provider for consumers in the European Economic Area. Google states that it uses infrastructure in several countries. The page linked below explains applicable transfer mechanisms, including adequacy decisions, the Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, and how to obtain information about safeguards.
The info@vitaevf.com mailbox uses Apple iCloud Mail. For Italy, the iCloud terms identify Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland, as the provider. Apple describes international transfers, including to the United States, and the use of standard contractual clauses for data collected in the European Economic Area. Its privacy policy explains the safeguards.
Cloudflare provides the domain’s DNS service. The website records are configured as DNS-only: HTTP/HTTPS traffic reaches the hosting service directly, without passing through Cloudflare’s proxy. Cloudflare may process technical data relating to its DNS service; its privacy policy also explains international transfers and safeguards.
Retention
We keep e-mails for the time needed to answer and handle the enquiry and any follow-up. If a professional relationship is established, necessary data may be kept for its duration and afterwards to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Data no longer needed for these purposes is deleted.
Technical data retention follows the hosting service’s settings and operational and security needs, taking account of applicable obligations. The map preference remains in your browser as described in the Cookie Policy. External providers’ notices explain their own processing.
Your rights
Where the GDPR provides for them, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect prior processing. VITAE does not make decisions based solely on automated processing or profile website visitors.
To exercise your rights, write to info@vitaevf.com. You may also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or another competent supervisory authority. You do not have to contact VITAE before making a complaint.

We may update this notice when the website or the processing described here changes. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
